S()~O .. ,.City of Springfield Development Services Building Safety Division MEMORANDUM DATE: June. 23,1989 10: Dave Puent', Bob Murray, Ralph Shaw, Tom Marx, Dennis Shew FRCM: /~ D::m Moore SUBJECT: Scheduled "1\Jrnover" of Sears to Uvner by Contractor General Growth of California has a contract with Sears which provides for a scheduled turnover of portions of the building to the owner for completion by Sears' own representatives/contractors. Although the schedule does not represent dates for occupancy approval in those sections which are being turned over, the oontractor must have all work substantially complete, including finished areas to be covered by ceiling tile, etc. The schedule provides for turnover to Sears on the following dates, which means we can anticipate an accelerated inspection load in the week prior to each date. (The areas referred to are shown on the attached drawing.) TURNOVER S C H E D U L E JUNE 19, 1989 - AREA 1 JULY 3, 1989 - AREA 2 JULY 17, 1989 - AREA 3 JULY 24, 1989 - AREA 4 JULY 31, 1989 - AREA 5 AUGUST 7, 1989 - AREA '6 AUGUST 14, 1989 - AREAS 7 Two of the scheduled turnover dates fall in the period of time when I will be on vacation (July 21-31), and other Building Div. staff will need to coordinate the inspections for these areas as well as the rest of . the gateway mall project. Ray Kairis and Con Olsen, at the General Growth Site office will help by reminding the subcontractors to request inspections in order to expedite . . '. their scheduled turnover. 1'.11 contractors ,.!ill still be required to call in on the inspection request line at the site trailer. The requests can be retrieved each morning from City Hall by using the remote beeper in the desk beside the Bldg. Div. printer. The attached instructions explains how to do this. REMOTE CONTROL INSTRUCTIONS .- NOTE: For your convenience, your Record a Call 675 has been: ' designed to play back only those messages received since your last remote OR from the time you set your machine to ANSWER before leaving home. This eliminates having to listen to previ. ously recorded messages all over again before hearing your new ones. However, you may backspace to those prior messages'if you wish by following the backspace procedure described under "HOW TO BACKSPACE BY REMOTE CON. TROL." How To Get Your Messages By REMOTE CONTROL 1. Call your phone. 2. You may press Remote Key button during your Outgoing An. nouncement OR after you have left a flag message, if you wish (following the beep). IMPORTANT: When pressing Remote Key button, be sure to hold for. at le,est 2 seconds. .(see page 15). . .', .' " '. . . . .' . . . '. . . .' . ". . 3. After.you press the Remote Key button, you will hear a rapid series of ,beeps: Ii you have new messages,-the message tap~ wili" rewind' (after 4 seconds) and playback your, new messages automatically. (You'll hear a periodic beep to let You' know tape is 'rewinding)., If you do not have any new messages, machine will indicate this by signaling you with a continuous 4 second tone. At this time you may: , A: Within the 4 second tone, press Remote Key button to backspace to replay previously recorded messages that you have saved. See steps 1 & 2 under "HOW TO BACKSPACE BY REMOTE CONTROL." B. Hang up. Any old messages will be saved and your machine will record new ones. How to Backspace by REMOTE CONTROL (This may be done at anytime during message playback and as many times as you like). 1. Hold Remote Key button down to backspace (rewind) tape. Tape will backspace (rewind) for as long as button is held down. Backspacing will begin approximately 1 second after you first press Remote Key button. 2, Release button and message playback will resume. , " 'After' Last Message: Machine will signal you with a continuous 4, second tone in. dicating that you may: ' , ' 1. Within the 4 second tone, press the Remote Key button to backspace and replay any portion of your new messages. 2. Hilng up. Messages will be saved and your machine will record new ones. 3. AFTER the 4 second tone stops, another rapid series of , beeps will be heard.
