on Ihe silC. Expansive type clay soils were evidcnt in !hc cut banks exposed at this timc. It WlL~
recommended that !his six inches be compacted and an additional 6" of cru~hed rock be installed a1
the footing areas with a minimum wid!h of 5'0" _ This wa.~ accomplished. The compaction of the
gravel surface is greater!han 95% 'Of a standard pructor. per ASTM D698-91.
