If the item(s) to be installed are not covered on the abbreviated schedules you should consult the fu 11 schedul es C. BUILDING DIVISION STAFF WILL FILL OUT ALL FEES AND CHARGES ON THE SCHEDULES O. As noted on the CAP, the label must be delivered to the electrical contractor for signature by his electrical supervisor. Section 711 of the Oregon State Plumbing Special- ty Code (PSC) states: ". ..an approved type grease interceptor complying with the provisions of this section shall be installed in the waste line leading from sink, drains, and other fi~tures, or equipment, in the following establishments: restaurants, cafes, lunch counter, cafeterias, bars, clubs; hotel, hospital, sanitarium, factory, or school kitchen, or other establishments where grease may be introduced into the drainage or sewage system in quantities that can effect line stoppage or hinder sewage treatment or private sewage disposal..." ....- Your establishment has been inspected and it was found that in order to comply with the above, you will need to install a grease interceptor. No grease interceptor shall be installed which has an approved rate of flow of less than 20 ~allons per minute and grease retention capacity of 40 pounds. Section 711 (d) - (PSC) states: "...Each plumbing fixture or piece of equipment connected to a grease device instal- led in a readily accessible and visible located in the tail piece or drain outlet of each such fixture. Flow control devices shall be so designed that the total flow through such device or devices shall at no time be greater than the rate capacity of the interceptor. No flow control device having adjustable or removable parts sha 11 be approved..." Since the build-up of grease in the lines and lift station wet wells causes a great amount of maintenance resulting in unwarranted costs to the public, a city-wide program to determine the adequacy and condition of these installations is being conducted by a Springfield Water Pollution Control Plant Representative. All necessary pennits shall be obtained before work begins and all inspections -,. for such work shall be required by calling the City of Springfield inspection line at 726-3769.
