Springfield Fire Code 508.5.4 and
912.3).
Landscaping: Immediate access to
fire department connections shall be
maintained at all times and without
obstruction by fences, bushes, trees,
walls or any other object for a
minimum of 3 feet (2004 SFC 912.3).
Extend sprinkler coverage to
underneath the canopy area above

Ufer Electrical Ground: Install ground rod at footing and call for inspection in conjunction with footing and/or
foundation inspection.
Footing: After trenches are excavated.
Foundation: After forms are erected but prior to concrete placement.
Slab: To be made after all inslab building service equipment, conduit piping and other equipment items are in
place but prior to concrete.
Framing Inspection: Prior to cover and after all rough in inspections have been approved.
Roofing: Prior to installing any roof covering.
Structural Welds: To be done during construction by State Certified Special Inspector. Provide inspection test
resnlts to City Building Inspector.
Final Fire Department. After all requirements of the Fire Department have been met.
Final Building: After all required inspections have been requested and approved and the building is complete.
Rough Plumbing: Prior to cover and including required testing.
Storm Sewer Line: Prior to filling trench.
Final Plumbing: When all plumbing work is complete.
