Michael Tomcal's request was that I confirm the installation of all components to satisfy lateral force engineering requirements. My observations are as follows: The first site visit request was after all concrete pours were complete; therefor, I cannot confirm required embed depths for holddown and base shear bolts have been satisfied. At the third visit, at the first floor bottomplate elevation, I Observed that all required holden bolts and baseshear bolts have been installed. At the first site visit, I observed all but four required straps(west side) were correctly installed. At that time I provided instructions for corrections. At the next requested site visit, these straps were covered by siding; I was unable to confirm, either from the inside or from the outside, that the straps had been correctly relocated. At the second visit, I noted that the holden the holddowns at the west side was missing. this problem was remedied. hardware for two of At the third visit, TRANSPORTATION / CIVIL SURVEYING ./ . . (, . . Conclusions: At this time all holddowns are correctly installed as per the engineering requirements specified by Branch Engineering. I cannot confirm the correct placement of four tension straps, other than these four straps, all straps were correctly installed. I cannot confirm the correct embed depth of any bolts.
