Subject: site inspections at 7217 Holly Street, Springfield, Or
Upon request by the owner, three site visits were made.
Michael Tomcal's request was that I confirm the installation of
all components to satisfy lateral force engineering requirements.
My observations are as follows:
The first site visit request was after all concrete pours
were complete; therefor, I cannot confirm required embed depths
for holddown and base shear bolts have been satisfied.
At the third visit, at the first floor bottomplate elevation, I
Observed that all required holden bolts and baseshear bolts have
been installed.
At the first site visit, I observed all but four required
straps(west side) were correctly installed. At that time I
provided instructions for corrections. At the next requested
site visit, these straps were covered by siding; I was unable to
confirm, either from the inside or from the outside, that the
straps had been correctly relocated.
At the second visit, I noted that the holden
the holddowns at the west side was missing.
