Dear Mr. 9ni.th:
Thank. you for the courtesy extended rre this rrorning for our discussion con-
cerning the potential occupancy of Goodwill Industries, Inc. of the
Stockstad building at 216 Main Street.
My client, Goodwill IndUstries, Inc., has asked that I outline in writing
my discussion with you. For their information, I'm sending them a copy
of this letter.
I it is my understanding that the City of ~ringfield would require
Goodwill to apply for an occupancy pennit prior to relocating the retail
store operation to 216 Main Street. Furt:tcL,,~e, since the Goodwill opera-
tion is very similar to a retail appliance store, it would not be necessary
to bring the building up to present City building codes. lmy repair work
on the premises \r,{mld have to be incidental to Goodwill's retail business
and subject to City approval.
lmy Lcu..keling work on the premises would require a building pennit and any
such work would be subject to current building codes of the City.
If Goodwill desires to lease out part of the premises, this would be satis-
factol:j' as long as the occupancy is similar to Goodwill or the prior appliance
store.
Off-street parking is unavailable and would not be required by the City for
Goodwill or similar occupancy.
After reading this letter, don't hesitate in contacting me if I have mis-
interpreted our verbal discussion.
