THE FILING FEE - A FILING FEE MUST ACCOMPANY ALL APPLICATIONS. THE FEE VARIES
DEPENDING UPON THE TYPE OF APPLICATION. THERE IS A $100.00 FEE FOR A TYPE I
PLOT PLAN. APPLICATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

* 15 COPIES FOR PROPOSALS WITHIN SPRINGFIELD'S URBAN GROVTH BOUNDARY.
HINIIlUH DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS
MINIMUM DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS (MDS) ARE INTENDED TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR
BUSINESSES TO MOVE IN OR TO EXPAND EXISTING STRUCTURES.. MDS ARE APPLIED
IN LIEU OF FULL SITE PLAN REVIEW TO ENSURE MINIMAL COMPLIANCE WITH
APPEARANCE AND SAFETY STANDARDS SPECIFIED IN THE SPRINGFIELD DEVELOPMENT
CODE AND TO REDUCE PROCESSING TIME FOR DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL, THE
FOLLOWING ARE CONSIDERED MINIMAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS:

I] THE DEVELOPMENT MUST CONNECT TO PUBLIC UTILITIES.
II THE DEVELOPMENT MUST COMPLY WITH THE SPRINGFIELD BUILDING SAFETY CODES.
II PARKING AND CIRCULATION AREAS MUST BE PAVED AND STRIPED, AND WHEEL
STOPS MUST BE INSTALLED.
II CURB CUTS WHICH EXCEED THE STANDARDS OF THIS CODE MUST BE CLOSED AND
REPLACED WITH STANDARD CURB AND GUTTER, AND SIDEWALK WHERE NECESSARY.
II SIDEWALKS. MUST- BE INSTALLED WHEN THE SITE ABUTS A CURB AND GUTTER. .A
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT MUST BE REQUIRED WHEN THE SITE DOES NOT
ABUT CURB AND GUTTER.
II A 5 FOOT WIDE LANDSCAPED PLANTER STRIP WITH PERMANENT IRRIGATION MUST
BE INSTALLED BETWEEN THE STREET-SIDE PROPERTY LINES AND PARKING AREAS
OR STRUCTURES. IF STREET TREES DO NOT EXIST, THEY MUST BE INSTALLED
IN THIS PLANTER STRIP. .
II STREET LIGHTS MUST BE INSTALLED.
[] TRASH RECEPTACLES AND OUTDOOR STORAGE AREAS MUST BE SCREENED.

INFORMATION REQUIREHENTS. A PLOT PLAN MUST CONTAIN ALL THE ELEMENTS NECESSARY TO
DEMONSTRATE THAT ALL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE SPRINGFIELD DEVELOPMENT CODE ARE
BEING FULFILLED. PLOT PLAN REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE
FOLLOIIING:
A PLOT PLAN MUST BE DRAIIN IN INK ON QUALITY PAPER NO SMALLER THAN 8 1/2" X 14" AND
MUST CONTAIN THE FOLLOIIING INFORMATION:
[I THE SCALE (APPROPRIATE TO THE AREA INVOLVED AND SUFFICIENT TO SHOll DETAIL OF THE
PLAN AND RELATED DATA, SUCH AS 1" ~ 30', 1"~ 50' OR 1" ~ 100'), NORTH ARROII, AND
DATE OF PREPARATION.
II THE STREET ADDRESS AND ASSESSOR'S HAP AND TAX LOT NUMBER.
II THE DIMENSIONS (IN FEET) AND SIZE (EITHER SQUARE FEET OR ACRES) OF THE
DEVELOPMENT AREA.
[I PROPOSED AND EXISTING BUILDINGS: LOCATION, DIMENSIONS, SIZE (GROSS FLOOR AREA),
CONCEPTUAL FLOOR PLAN, SETBACKS FROM PROPERTY LINES, DISTANCE BETIIEEN BUILDINGS,
AND HEIGHT.
II OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS, VEHICULAR ACCESS POINTS AND THEIR DIMENSIONS.
[I THE NAME AND LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING AND PROPOSED PUBLIC AND PRIVATE STREETS AND
SIDEIIALKS IIITHIN OR ON THE BOUNDARY OF THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AREA.
[I THE ON-SITE DRAINAGE SYSTEM CONNECTION TO AN APPROVED STORM SYSTEM.
II THE CONNECTION TO THE CITY SANITARY SEilER SYSTEM.
[I THE LOCATION AND HEIGHT OF PROPOSED OR EXISTING FENCES, IIALLS, OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT
AND STORAGE, TRASH RECEPTACLES, AND SIGNS.
II REQUIRED LANDSCAPED AREAS AND STREET TREE LOCATIONS TO INCLUDE TYPE OF
LANDSCAPING OR TREES AND TYPE OF IRRIGATION SYSTEM.
II ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NECESSARY -TO ADDRESS LAND USE COMPATIBILITY OR METRO
PLAN ISSUES.
