Membranes are available in widths up to 50' (15 m) and lengths up to 200' (61 m). Custom dimensions are also available. Fire Retardant (FR) membranes are specially formulated to inhibit spread offlame and meet or exceed code body testing criteria for fire retardant rooting membranes. TYPICAL PROPERTIES AND CHARACTERISTICS: See Table On Reverse Side CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS: Use proper stacking procedures to ensure sufficient stability of the materials. Exercise caution when walking on wet membrane. Membranes are slippery when wet. INSTALLA nON: Sure-Seal 45-mil thick and 60-mil thick (1.14 or 1.52 mm) membranes are utifized in Design A, Fully-Adhered (.060" only); Design B, Ballasted Roofing Systems and Design C, Loose Laid Protected Roofing Systems. For Design A, Fully-Adhered Roofing Syl)l.....: Insulation is mechanically attached to the roof deck. The substrate and membrane are coated with Carlisle Bonding Adhesive. The membrane is then rolled into place and brushed down. Splicing Cement and In-Seam Sealant'l'M are applied to the splice area and Lap Sealant is used on the splice edge. As an alternate, HP-2S0 or LV-600 Primer and SecurTAPETM may be used for splicing. For Design B, Ballasted Roofing System: Insulation is loosewlaid over roof deck, Membrane is loose-laid over insulation and secured with a minimum 10 Ibs. (4.5 Kg) of ballast per square foot. Design C is a similar system with the insulation installed on top of the membrane. Splicing Cement and In~Searn SeaJantâ„¢ are applied to the splice area and Lap Sealant is used on the splice edge. As an alternate; HP-250 or LV -600 Primer and SecurT APE'l'M may be used for splicing.
