The enclosed items shall not be construed as a complete list of Housing Code viola-
tions. but rather as a supplemental list to your existing report detailing deficien-
cies and corrective actions necessary. These items shall be included as part of the
original report and corrective action shall be necessary for obtaining substantial
compliance to the Springfield Housing Code.
EXTERIOR/ROOFING/GUTTERING
Add to item #3 on your list. Check existing support post and replace as needed.,
Add to item #4 on your list. Correct the rise and tread on stairs _ 8" maximum
rise - 9" maximum run. The greatest riser height within any flight of stairs
shall not exceed the smallest by more than 3/8 inch.
PLUMBING
Add item #3. Pipe the relief. valve drain down to within 6" off floor.
ELECTRICAL
Add to item #5 on your list. Remove grounding type receptacles from ungrounded
circuits.or ground them. This is misleading to people using them. They think
outlets are grounded and tend to get careless. This is a false impression of safety.
Add item #7. Provide 3' clearance in front of service equipment. There is not
enough space to safely reach or to work on the service panel.
NOTE: laundry equipment may be moved or the panel may be faced to the other side
of the wall. .
Add item #8. Install service entrance conductors to match the ampacity of the
service panel. Additions have been made to the electrical system increasing the
load beyond capacity of conductors.
NOTE: Space did not permit a close inspection of the service panel with safety.
