Dear Mrs. Meyer:
In late April, I received a letter from Gerald A. Davis, Sanitarian for
Lane County, which stated that recent test results indicated the presence
of diluted sewage water on your property. In response to this concern, we.
immediately established a monitoring and surveillance program that involved
random testing of the ground and surface water on your property as well as
dye water testing of the plumbing systems for the two uphill homes.' Ali . .
the test results, including several performed by an independent laboratory,
were negative and indicated little, if any, contamination. Apparently,
the source of contamination is no longer present or the problem is sporadic
and therefore difficult to correct.
Except for occasional monitoring, we plan no future action at this time.
Naturally, we will quickly respond to your request for additional testing
should you have good reason to suspect the presence of contaminants.
Please call me if you wish to discuss this matter in more detail.
Very truly yours,
