Subject: Land Use Compatibility Statement for 2937 1147 Laurel, Map and Tax Lot
Number 18-02-0642/90200,201 and 202
Dear Tami and Gregory:
This letter is in response to your request for a determination on the status of the three tax
lots referenced above,
These three tax lots were originally part of a larger ownership, In October 1960 this
ownership was surveyed and pins set creating four parcels (A, B, C and D) (Lane County
Surveyor's Office C,S,F, '12171), On March 1, 1962, Jenkins Trucking Company
transferred ownership of all four parcels to Howard and Edith Jenkins, The parcels were
individually described in the warranty deed, This property was under Lane County
jurisdiction at the time of the survey and the deed transfer, Until May 1962, Lane County
did not require land divisions to go through the partition process, Land divisions
occurred when property was surveyed, pins set and separate legal descriptions recorded,
Based on this information, the City of Springfield acknowledges the validity of these four
parcels, The parcels may be treated as separate lots for sale and/or building,
Please note that tax lots 201 and 202 have no frontage on a public street. Irrevocable
access and maintenance easements should be provided to these parcels before they are
sold,
Please contact me at 726-3657 if you have any additional questions,
