Subject: Occupancy Inspection at 1863 Laura Springfield, Oregon.
Proposed Use: Rental Sales/Storage

At your request, the Springfield Building Safety Division recently
conducted an inspection of the building(s) at the above address. The
purpose of the inspection was to determine the suitability of the
building(s) for the proposed use as indicated.
Based on the proposed occupancy, the existing conditions which are -,,: '," -:_"
mentioned below do not meet the minimum Building Safety Code requirements.
Corrective measures must be taken prior to occupancy to install, repair,
replace or modify the following items in order for the building to conform
to applicable safety codes:
Structural
1. Tape all joints on gypsum board firewall in the garage.
2. Remove. the unprotected paper wall material at the outside storage area
behind the main building.

3. Replace dryrotted material in the front porch deck.
4. Install an approved handrail at the rear exit steps.
Electrical

Please. note - The upstairs area is' approved only for light storage and is
limited to access by employees only due to the staircase dimensions.
Building permits must be obtained for the above items which involve
repairs or modifications to the structural, electrical, plumbing or
mechanical systems of the building and for any additions or revisions you
wish to make to the building.
Please note that installation of electrical systems on property which is
intended for lease, sale or rent must be done by an electrical contractor
who is licensed by the State of Oregon.
