MEMORANDUM TO: ~mmissioner Bill Rogers ~ Burns, LMD FROM: SUBJECT: Zoning Status of Map 19-02-l9.4.ljTL 900 DATE: 9-24-87 Attached please find a copy of a letter from Joe Hudzikiewicz to Jon Briscol regarding a mix-up in reporting of zoning on the subject property. The property is outside the Metropolitan Area Urban Growth Boundary, but it still is subject to the Metropolitan Plan as an "area of influence", and is designated Agriculture on the Plan Diagram. Consequently, the E-40/RCP Exclusive Farm Use zoning. In order to rezone the property, a Plan Amendment is also required. Including the property inside the Urban Growth Boundary of Springfield appears to be the most reasonable approach. At that time, staff from our office indicated that the zoning of the property was M-3 Heavy Industrial and within the urban growth boundary of Springfield. Today it was discovered that the M-3 zoning is incorrect. The property is actually zoned E-40jRCP Exclusive Farm Use and is outside the urban growth boundary. As we have been unsuccessful in contacting you by phone, we are notifying you by this letter, as no doubt the zoning of the property will affect any intended use. With the knowledge of the correct zoning, you may want to change your plans for the site inspection. Please contact Our office at 687- 4061 regarding the site inspection, or call me at 687-3657 if I may be of any assistance regarding the zoning.
