Re: Housing Inspection At 747 Kelly Blvd.

Dear Ms. Elliott:
At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made a housing
inspection on September 29, 1978 at 747 Kelly Blvd., Springfield, Oregon.
The following items must be repaired or replaced to conform with the Uni,form
Housing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield.
1. All windows must open freely.
2. A firewall is required where the garage is attached to the-house. There
must be a layer of 5/8 inch type x sheetrock installed on this wall. The
sheetrock must run from the concrete foundation to the roof sheathing, on
the garage side only, and all the joints must be filled with joint compound.
3. The water service must have a 3/4 inch gate valve. This 'valve must be in~
stalled on the property side of the meter in. the meter access .box.
4. A 3/4 inch gate valve must be installed on the inlet water line to the water
heater.
5. A pressure and temperature relief valve must be installed on the water heater.
A pipe must be connected to the relief valve, run down and to the. outside of
the buil ding.
6. A number eight (8) copper wire must be connected to the common bar in the
electrical service panel and connected with an approved clamp to the col~
water piping.
7. .A main breaker must be installed on the wires coming from the meter ahead
of all other breakers in the electrical service panel.

All necessary permits shall be obtained before work starts and all work shall
be accomplished according to applicable codes and inspected before a Certifi-
cate of Compl iance will be issued.
