Dear Mr. Luc~:
I am writing r~garding your building permit application for a new Single Family
Dwelling for the subject property. I have tried several times to phone you, but have not
been able to reach you. The site plan submitted with your application shows a 10 foot
,
driveway and an angled approach. These do not meet Springfield Development Code. I
am requesting a revised site plan. Code specifications require driveway widths for single
family dwellings to be a minimum of 12 feet and a maximum of24 feet. Also, driveway
approaches cannot have an angled entry and require a minimum of 12 feet for the
driveway throat. Enclosed is a copy of Public Works Engineering Construction Details
for driveway approaches.
Once I receive your revised site plan, we will be able to continue to process your

application. At this time, your plans are on hold pending our receiving a revised site
plan.
