As you ",que.ted. a site/toiJs investigation was performed at the above noted address on
June 23.2000. Design for the site is as follows:
AU fill. vegetation. and unbuildable material has been removed to native grade. The native
SOIl is 8 clay. with some 8" to 12" diameter rocf(s. with a Unified Solis ClaasiflC8tiOn of CH
and a plasticItY index of greeter than 20. This soil is considered B moderately expansive
clay (after Holtz 1959). The gravel pad for the building site st10uld be a minimum of 12"
of compacted crushed rock placed with a tracked dozer or excavator. and compacted with
8 vibratory plate or roller. Mortier EngIneering. P.C. supervised the profiling of the soHs for
removal of water.
On JUIle 26. 2000. a compaction inspection was performed after tAl plIICctm8nl The
comp.llcted surface of the 3/4" minus crushed rock 18 adequate for 8 foundation bearing
