As you requested, a compaction inspection of the gravel under the proposed foundation has been
performed on this site in preparation for the construction involving foundations for the proposed
residence. The excavation Involved the placement of 12" maximum of 1 W' crushed rock. The -,

The compaction of the gravel surface IS greater than 95% of a standard proctor, per ASTM D698-
91.
A trench drain was Installed at the upper portion of the site, extending north along the east side of
the excavation. This drain IS to be connected to the City of Springfield's storm system and the
north west corner of the site. This drain is Installed below the base of excavation and will
adequately drain the gravel pad and crawl space. An underfooting drain at the crawl area WIll not
be necessary in this Instance.
