ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT P30473; NORTH A ST IMPROVEMENTS.

REQUESTED:
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PERMIT PROJECT P30473; NORTH A ST
IMPROVEMENTS.
This permit project was engineered by Branch Engineering, Inc. and constructed by
Egge Sand and Gravel. The contractor has completed work on this public
improvement project. The City Council must formally accept the contractor's work on
the project for the City's use, operation, maintenance, and ownership.

FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
This project involved the installation of public improvements consisting of 528 feet of
street, 1068 feet of sidewalk, four street lights and nine street signs. Additionally, 128
feet of 10 inch, 314 feet of 12 inch and 52 feet of 15 inch storm line was installed
along A Street, east of 58th. The City received 23,315 feet of dedicated right-of-way.
The developer of the project is Amigo ill, LLC. All work has been inspected by
Branch Engineering, Inc. and the City Engineer and found the work to be satisfactory.
We do not have a fmal construction cost for this project, as it was privately
engineered, built and fmanced. The City did fmancially participate in this project for
$38,008.64 to pay for a portion of the street improvements that went beyond the
obligations of the developer. Other than this payment, there is no other fmancial
impact to the City other than future maintenance responsibilities.

RESOLUTION NO.
Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and
has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield:
P30473, North A Street Improvements, and
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract
now on file in the City Recorder's office; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project
be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the
contractor involved.
2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 7th day of
April, 2008.
