Effective Apnl 20th 2006 the City will begin sponsonng zoning map amendments for properties where the zOning
and plan deSignation are clearly In conflict ThiS Will occur three times a year
The adopted fee schedule sets January as the yearly start of the three rounds of application processing The
Planning Commission's first regular session after their holiday recess IS the third week In January To allow for a
completeness check/document preparation and 45-day DLCD notification, the application for the January heanng
needs to be filed by November 1st The second heanng Will be In May, With a March 1st submittal deadline and
the third heanng In September With a July 1 st submittal deadline ThiS Initial year's first heanng Will be the
September heanng
The fee IS $0 00 A type III notification fee Will be assessed to cover the cost of the required notification
Because of the scale and non-property speCific nature of the adopted Metro Plan Diagram, the plan/zone conflicts
Will pnmanly be venfiable for properties Within refinement plan bo'undanes There may however be Instances
where, due to prominent Identifiable geographic features on the Metro Plan diagram, little doubt eXists that a
property has a deSignation that IS In conflict With ItS zoning In all Instances, It IS the discretion of the Director or
hiS repetitive to determine If there IS a clear plan/zone conflict and that an application qualifies for thiS process
