RESOLUTION NO 05-52
A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
SPRINGFIELD AND REQUESTING THAT THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT
BOUNDARY COMMISSION APPROVES THE ANNEXATION BY EXPEDITED PROCESS
WHEREAS, the Common Council is authorized by ORS 199.490(2)(a)(B) to initiate annexation upon
receiving consent in writing fr<;>m a majority of the electors registered in the territory proposed to be
annexed and written consent from owners of more than half the land in the territory proposed to be annexed;
and,
WHEREAS, one hundred percent of the property owners of the territory signed a consent to annex (Exhibit 1);
and,
WHEREAS, one hundred percent of registered voters within the territory have signed a consent to annex
(Exhibit 2) and,
WHEREAS, the site currently is provided with electric, water and city sanitary sewer service and~
WHEREAS, a concurrent Property Line Adjustment has been submitted and approved and,
WHEREAS, the territory to be annexed is within the Eugene-Springfield Urban Growth Boundary and can
be provided with urban services.
NOW THEREFORE THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES RESOL VB AS FOLLOWS:

. Section 1: The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby recommend approval of the expedited
annexation of the subject territory to the City by the Line County Local Government Boundary Commission,
Lane County, Oregon, said territory being described as follows:
Township 18 South, Range west, Section 2 Map 12, a portion of Tax Lot 5201 as more particularly
described in Exhibit 3 of this Resolution.

Section 2: The Council further requests that the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission
approve the proposed annexation authorized by ORS 199.466 without the study, public hearing and
adoption of a final order required by ORS 199.461. -
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approved by the Mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this ~ day of November, 2005, by a
vote of 6 for and 0 . against.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Springfield this 8th day of November, 2005.

ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD
TO: LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION
We, the undersigned, constitute the owners of at least one-half of the land area of the property described in the
attachment marked "Exhibit An AND
We 'desire to be annexed to the City of Springfield. A map is attached marked "Exhibit B," showing the
affected territory and its relationship to the present city limit boundaries.
The annexation constitutes a minor boundary change under the Boundary Commission Act and should therefore
be considered by the Boundary Commission and, after study, a Final Order should be entered by the Boundary
Commission. --

(Tax Map 18-02-02-12, Portion of Tax Lot 5201
SITUATED in unincorporated area adjoining the City of Springfield, Lane County, State of Oregon
in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2 in Township 18 South, Range 2 . West of the Willamette Meridian
and described as follows:
BEING a portion of Lot 2 of the Harvey Williams Subdivision as platted and recorded in the Plat
Records of Lane County, State of Oregon; the perimeter of said portion being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly comer of Lot 100 of McKenzie Hills First Addition which map
was platted and recorded in the Plat Records of Lane County, State of Oregon and which point of
beginning lies on the current city limits line of the City of Springfield; THENCE, leaving said
