Dear Mr. Knott,
You described your intentions for the Springfield Target Store as follows:
I. Modifying the store front, entry, and support, which includes adding a canopy (no
expansion).
2. Removing the existing "Target"'wall sign and placing the new "Target" sign on the
new canopy.
3. Adding a new "Pharmacy" wall sign.
4. Repainting exterior and adding tile to the recessed area of entry.

Your building plans as stated above indicate to me that you will not invoke any planning
review for minimum development standards or site plan review. Changes to the building
facade, signs and paint do not require planning review or permits. It appears that all you
will need are the proper building permits for structural alterations and signs. I hope this
