Purpose of Visit:
The purpose of the site VISit was to observe the footing reinforcement and the general
construction of the project
Observations
1) Excavation for all footings has been completed
2) All footing steps have been dug except for the southeastern footing step In the
thickened slab edge
3) The eXisting CMU wall footing has been cut back to the face of the CMU wall and the
holes for the epoxy dowels Into the thickened slab edge have been drilled
4) The reinforcement for the spread and continuous footings In the northern half of the
bUilding has been placed, to Include dowels for the concrete and CMU walls, dowels for
the concrete columns, extra Jamb bars for the concrete walls at the western stair well and
footing corner bars Extra Jamb bars for the north and south concrete walls at the eastern
stair well were not Installed
5) The reinforcement for the spread and continuous footings In the southern half of the
bUilding was In the process of being placed
6) The electrical transformer concrete vault, at the south end of the bUilding, has been
placed
7) Footing dowels at storefront areas are longer than required for the 14" high concrete
curb and the two-and-a-half course CMU stem wall

Action Recommended:
1) No action required
2) No action required other than digging the footing step at the southeastern footing step
3) Contractor to Install dowels In epoxy per 6/85 3 and provide special inspection per
81 0 sheet
4) Contractor to Install the extra #7 Jamb bars In the northern and southern concrete walls
as shown on plan
5) Contractor to continue Installing the rebar per structural drawings and provide special
Inspection per 81 0 sheet
6) No action required
7) Contractor to cut dowels to the required length
