The contractor has requested the substitution of "Simpson" LU24 or equivalent hangers
in the rafter framing of the patio cover in the "spiral" type units. This is acceptable as
the load value oftbe LU24 hanger (445Ibs) exceeds the requirements for the counection.
It is assumed that the rafters arc scat-cut to fit the hanger.
