ORDINANCE NO, 6121
AN ORDINANCE RENAMING TO PRASAD COURT THAT PORTION OF KA YLEE
COURT EAST OF LAURA STREET, WEST OF PIONEER PARKWAY WEST AS
LOCATED IN WILLOWBROOK SUBDIVISION, THE 40.0 FOOT WIDE PUBLIC
STREET RUNNING EASTERL Y FROM LAURA STREET 400 FEET MORE OR
LESS TO THE RIGHT OF WAY OF PIONEER PARKWAY WEST BOUNDARY OF
AND LYING WITHIN THE SUBDIVISION OF WILLOWBROOK AS PLATTED
AND RECORDED IN C S FILE 38647, LANE COUNTY OREGON PLAT RECORDS
IN LANE COUNTY, OREGON, ALL IN TOWNSHIP 17 SOUTH, RANGE 03 WEST,
SECTION 27, MAP 10.
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Springfield has declared its intention to
rename Prasad Court that portion of Kay1ee Court from Laura Street east to the westerly
boundary of Pioneer Parkway West right-of-way as attached in Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, such renaming of said street is in the best interest of the City in carrying out
its plans and programs for the general development of the City; and
WHEREAS, such renaming was requested by the Willowbrook Subdivision owners, and
WHEREAS, lawful notice of the street renaming was published and mailed to all
properties and property owners within 100' of the request; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Springfield met in Council Chambers,
at 225 Fifth Street, for a first reading on Monday, March 7, 2005, and second reading and
adoption on March 21, 2005 at the hour of 7:00 p.m., to hear any objections to the
proposed street renaming and 0 persons appeared to object; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1: The Council finds that legal notice of the hearing was lawfully published
and mailed to all properties and property owners within 100 feet of the request; that
o objections were made at the street renaming hearing held; that public interest will
not be impaired by the street renaming; and that said street renaming will be to the best
interest of the public and increase the benefit of the property involved.
Section 2:
The following described street to be renamed:
KA YLEE COURT IN WILLOWBROOK SUBDIVISION TO BE RENAMED
PRASAD COURT; THE 40.0 FOOT WIDE STREET RUNNING
EASTERL Y FROM LAURA STREET 400 FEET MORE OR LESS TO THE
EASTERLY BOUNDARY OF AND LYING WITHIN THE
WILLOWBROOK SUBDIVISION AS PLATTED AND RECORDED IN C S
FILE 38647, LANE COUNTY OREGON PLAT RECORDS IN LANE
COUNTY, OREGON.

Section 3: The City Recorder is directed to file certified copies of this ordinance with
the Lane County Clerk, Lane County Assessor, and Lane County Surveyor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 215t day of March,
2005, by vote of 5 for and ~ against.
APPROVED by the mayor of the City of Springfield t' 5t day of March, 2005.
