RESOLUTION.
No. 06-38
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING CHANGES TO THE TABLE OF CONTENTS OF THE
CITY OF SPRINGFIELD'S STANDARD CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS AND
STANDARD DRAWINGS 4-1, 4-21, 5-18 & 5-18A.
WHEREAS, the Springfield Development Code Article 32, Section 32.010(2) provides
that specifications for the design, construction, reconstruction or repair of streets, alleys,
sidewalks, bus turnouts, accessways, curbs, gutters, street lights, street signs, sanitary sewers,
stormwatermanagement systems, street trees and planter strips within the public right-of-way,
medians and other public improvements within the city limits and the City's urbanizable area
shall be in accordance with this Code, the Springfield Municipal Code 1997, the City's
Engineering Design Standards and Procedures Manual and, the Public Works Standard
Construction Specifications; and,
WHEREAS, that article further provides that "The Public Works Director retains the
. right to modify their cited references on a case-by-case basis;" and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has made such modifications to the Table of
Contents forthe Standard Drawings, and Standard Drawings 4-1, 4-21, 5-18 & 5-18A and now
submits those changes for the Common Council to approve.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby approve and ratify the
changes to the City of Springfield Standard Construction Specifications; specifically the
Table of Contents for the Standard Drawings, and Standard Drawings 4-1,4-21,5-18 &
5-18A, as presented by the Public Works Director.
2. This Resolution shall take effect upon enactment by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 18th day of
September, 2006.
