RE: Street Address Change
Dear Mrs. Jennings:
Due to a recent Minor Subdivision (Partition #2000-P1322) of your property at 805 Fairview
Drive, also know as Tax Lot 00800 of Lane County Assessors Map #17-03-27-42, an address
is required to be assigned to the newly created panhandle lot, Parcel 2. It is our policy to
assign such addresses when an application is made for required building permits to develop
the newly created parcel.
March 9,2000 we'received an application for placement of a manufactured home and carport
on Parcel 2, and I was requested to assign an address to accompany the building permit
application. I determining an appropriate address, we verified the addresses to the east and
west of the existing house .on Parcell, currently addressed 805 Fairview Drive. We fount
that the house to the east, on Tax Lot 01 004, is addressed 803 Fairview Drive, and the house
to the west, on Tax Lot'00701 is addressed 817 Fairview Drive. Since the newly created
Parcel 2 Panhandle lot takes access from Fairview Drive immediately east of your existing
house at 805 Fairview Drive, the new address needed to be an odd 800 number small than
805, and greater than 803 to the east. We therefor found that the only way an address could
be assigned to Parcel 2 was to change the address of your existing house on Parcell to allow
for an appropriate odd number to be assigned.
Please be informed that the address of your house at 805 Fairview Drive is being changed to
809 Fairview Drive. The address assigned to the Panhandle lot Parcel 2 is 807 Fairview Drive.
I will notify the following companies and/or agencies of these new addresses by sending them
a copy of this letter:
Springfield Police Department
Springfield Fire Department
U.S. Post Office
U.S West Communications
Northwest Natural Gas
A T & T Cable Services
Springfield News
Springfield Utility 80ard
Lane Council of Governments
911 Dispatch, Public Safety
Lane County elections Department
Sanipac
Rainbow Water District
Register Guard
This change will become effective 30 days from the date of this letter (April 26, 2000).
Please change your street address numbers on the house and on the mailbox by this date.
I checked with our Public Works Department today regarding the status of the Partition Plat,

and was informed that we have not yet received the final signed mylar copy. The Public
Works Department is holding the building permit application, pending receipt of the final plat
copy.
