CITY OF SPRINGFIELD 225 N. 5TH ST., SPRINGFIELD, OR. 97477 BUILDING SAFETY DIVISION (541) 726-3759 PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------ DATE: PROJECT: LOCATED AT: APPLICANT: OCTOBER 19, 1999 JOB #: 991428 INSTALL FURNACE, DUCT & REGISTERS IN STORAGE BUILDING 4400 FRANKLIN BLVD. U-HAUL COMPANY OF SOUTHERN OREGON Plans submitted for the proposed construction at the above project address have been reviewed for conformance with the City of Springfield Building Safety Codes. The following list of items require correction, clarification or, additional detailing before they can be approved: 1, If it is your intent to perform this installation so the space is not considered a conditioned space, the following criteria must be met: The heating system output capacity for the building shall not exceed 15 Btu/hr./sq. ft. or 4 watts/sq. ft. of heated floor area. The heating system shall be controlled by a thermostat with a maximum set point capacity of 450F, mounted no lower than the heating unit. The roof/ceiling assembly, doors and windows shall meet the Prescriptive Requirements for Zone 1 (Table 13-D), copy attached. 2. If you do not intend to utilize the above limitations so the space will not be considered a conditioned space, provide verification that the building envelope is in compliance with all of the thermal envelope requirements of Table 13-D. If the building insulation is not in compliance, an additional permit and inspection for insulation to achieve compliance is required. Questions regarding the above comments should be directed to Lorne Pleger, Plans Examiner, at (541)726-3669. ANY CHANGES OR ALTERATIONS made after the date of this review must be approved by the Building Official. PLANS REVIEWED BY: SIGNATURE _d/~, t;7C/ ' ~ ~- -~~ NAME LORNE PLEGER . , " ~ CHAP. 13, DIV.
