Re: Housing Inspection at 4143 Daisy Street.
Dear Mr. Bobof,
At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made an oc-
cupancy inspection on October 11, 1978, at 4143 Daisy Street, Springfield,
Oregon.
The buildings inspected are those presently being used to manufacture modular
buildings. This use constitutes an.H-3 occupancy under the Uniform Building
code. The following items must be repaired or replaced to conform with the
applicable codes as adopted by the City of Springfield:
1. . Separate toilet facilities shall be provided for each sex when the number
of employees exceeds four and both sexes are employed - Uniform Building
Code 1005.
2. All water closet rooms must be provided with an exterior window at least
three square feet in area, fully openable, or other approved means of pro-
viding adequate ventilation for such rooms - Uniform Building Code 1005.
3. All water closet rooms must conform to Section 1711 of the Uniform Building
Code, as pertaining to the finish on the floors and walls.
4. One lavatory is required for each ten employees - Uniform Plumbing Code 905.
5. Drinking fountains are not permitted in toilet rooms - Uniform Plumbing Code
905.
6. All unused waste lines must be plugged - Uniform Plumbing Code 911.
7. Light ,and ventilation must be provided as required by Section 1005, of the
Uniform Building Code. Separate light and ventilation must be provided for
the office area.

8. All wiring shall be In conduit. All light fixtures must be grounded to con-
duit.
9. Electrical wIrIng must conform to Class II, Division I of the National Elec-
trical Code for dust proof wiring methods. This requirement may be modified
if dust collectors are installed on all equipment.
10. All electrical cords.to equipment ,shall not exceed SIX feet in length.
All necessary permits shall be obtained before work starts and all work shall be
accomplished according to applicable codes ,and inspected before a Certificate of
Compliance will be issued.
