RE: Housing Inspection at 1162 Custom Way, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Ms.. Grubb:
At your request, the Building Safety Division of the City of Springfield conducted
a Housing Inspection at the above referenced address on February 13, 1984.
The following additional items were found in need of repair or replacement to con-
form to the Springfield Housing Code.
All applicable permits shall be obtained and all items must be 'installed according
to applicable codes.
PLUMBING
1) Add item #5: The relief on the water heater must be piped to the exterior of
the building.
2) Add item.#6: Repair faucet on kitchen sink.
ELECTRICAL
1) Add to item #1:

Add item #2:
Repair or replace baseboard heater in bathroom.
Install extension rings (spark sleeves) at all switches and outlets on walls
where wood paneling has been added.
NOTE: The addition and alteration was not wired in accordance with the Electrical
Safety Code at the time of construction; therefore, the following corrections will
be required:

Install wall switch control for light or outlet in southwest room of addition.

Install outlets in partitions of addition so that no point along wall, unbroken
by doorway, fireplace or other opening, is more than 6 feet from an outlet.

MISCELLANEOUS INTERIOR
1) Add to item #4: Damper in fireplace must be sealed off tight. Hearth. must
extend to 1811 in front of wood stove. Joints on wood stove connector pipes
,require sheet metal screws installed to keep them from coming apart.
