Ferguson 80 Clearvue Lane Springfield, Oregon 97477 Dear Mr. Ferguson: It has come to our attention that an abandoned septic tank.exists on your property located at 80 Clearvue Lane , Springfield, Oregon. The Department of Environmental Quality has established requirements for septic tank abandonment in Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter .340, Division 7, which reads: "Each and every o\;ner of the real property abandoned, or which has been abandoned, shall have all' the sludge from the septic tank, seepage pit or cesspool removed by a person hold- ing a sewage disposal service license., and shall fill same with clean bar-run gra- vel or other material approved by the Director or his authorized representative." You should contact a licensed septic tank pumper. Many are listed in the yellow pages of your telephone directory.. Upon completion of abandonment you Or your representative should notify the Building Division of the City of Springfield for an inspection at 726-3753. . You will have 30 and call for an inspection , days from the date of this letter to complete the above by.the City. Your anticipated cooperation is appreciated.
