I, Raul ("Rudy") Baraja, state as follows:
Recently, I was approached by David DeLong, who told me he wanted
help getting criminal charges against him dismissed. He had
prepared a document which he wanted me to sign. He said that if I
would sign that document, he could get the charges against hi,l\l
dismissed. He also told me that if I signed the document, he would
pay me $1,000 as soon as the charges were dismissed, and if I did
not sign his document, he would hurt my children.
I signed the document. I did not read it, he did not give me iJ
copy, and I do not know what it said. I believe he presented that
document to the District Attorney's Office for th" pUI:pose of
asking to have the charges against him dismissed.
