SUBJECT: City v. DeLono
I met with Gino Grimaldi today. I presented to him a copy of
Meg's memo to Mike Kelly and explained the facts.
Gino agrees that we continue to represent the city in this
matter. I have advised him that we have made an offer of
settlement to Mr. Force, the attorney for Mr. DeLong, which is
our payment of the amount of $1,000 in settlement with Mr. DeLong
signing a Release and a dismissal with prejudice of, the pending
litigation. I told him that the firm will pay the $1,000.
I also informed him that we have deducted the sum of 2/3 of our
billing for services on this matter in the amount of $5,610.
Gino agrees that is a fair adjustment to our billing, I note
that we still have $1,980.07 due. I would suggest that we now
bill that to Dave Puent's attention.
Joe, will you give a report to Dave Puent and let him know what
we have done on this thing.
If I am gone next week and David Force calls, I will ask that one
of you return the call. I assume it is with his comments or
approval of the Stipulated Order and Release.
I have sent copies of the Release and stipulated Order over to
him. I have put $1,000 of the firm's money in the trust account
today's date, It is under "C" fOI' city of Springfield which I
find interesting in the log. So, if we have got the Release
signed and the Stipulated Order signed, we can go ahead and send
the check out to Force.
