MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION MEETING
OF THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL
HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2000.

The Springfield City Council met in Work Session at Springfield City Hall, Jesse Main Meeting
Room, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, on Monday, October 23,2000, at 6:01 p.m., with Mayor
Leiken Presiding.
ATTENDANCE
Present were Mayor Leiken, Councilors Ballew, Fitch, Hatfield, Lundberg and Simmons. Also
present were City Manager Mike Kelly, Assistant City Manager Gino Grimaldi, City Recorder
Kim Krebs, City Attorney Joe Leahy, Captain Richard Lewis, and members of staff.
1. League of Oregon Cities (LOC) Designation of Voting Delegate at the Annual Business
Meeting.
City Manager Mike Kelly was present for the staff report. Mr. Kelly stated that the Annual LOC
Conference was scheduled in Portland on November 10, 11, and 12,2000. He stated that a
representative should be designated as the voting delegate for the City of Springfield. He asked
council who would be attending the Annual Conference, and who council wanted to designate as
their voting delegate.

After discussion, council consensus was to have Council President Anne Ballew attend the
Annual LOC Conference, and would be designated as the voting delegate, with City Manager
Mike Kelly as the alternate.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
