Performed periodic visual inspection of the following items: Field weide fillet welds at brace frames for new tank. Some
welds were marked for repair of excessive convexity and or overlap. These we repaired by grinding to acceptable
profiles per AWS D1.1 section #5 by contractor prior to end of shift and re-inspected by PSI rep. Also one weld under
size at top leg where additional pass was placed to provide required fillet weld size per contract drawings April 11, 2006.
Also received contractor quality manual that contained current welder qualifications and pre qualified welding procedure
specifications. Weldments were inspected for size, length, profile and locations. To the best of our knowledge, the
work inspected is in conformance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable AWS 01.1 codes. Fabricator
. was aSked to notify our office when additional services are needed.
