ISSUE STATEMENT: This permit project was engineered by Branch Engineering and constructed by Kipco Construction Company The contractor has completed work on this public improvement project. The City Council must formally accept the contractor's work on the project for the City's use, operation, maintenance, and ownership. ATTACHMENTS: A. Resolution DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: This proj~ct involved the installation of public improvements on T Street, west of 15th Street consisting of 110 feet of street, in addition to approximately 157 feet of 6 inch PVC storm line, 67 feet of 12 inch concrete storm line and 73 feet of 6 inch and 86 feet of 8 inch PVC sanitary line. There was also 6,000 square feet of dedicated right- of-way. The developer of the project is Carla Green. All work has been inspected by Branch Engineering and the City Engineer and found to be satisfactory. We do not have a final construction cost for this project, as it was privately engineered, built and financed. There is no financial impact to the City other than future maintenance responsibilities. Acceptance WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield: ' P30466; Cottage House Garden, and WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract now on file in the City Recorder's office; and, WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of Springfield. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the contractor involved. 2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor. Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 3rd day of December, 2007. Adopted by a vote of _ for and _ against.
