ORDINANCE REPEALING SPRINGFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS 2.900 through 2.995
The Common Council of the City of Springfield finds that:
WHEREAS, on November 29, 2004, Springfield City Council adopted Ordinance No. 6102
implementing ballot measure 37 approved by the voters of the state of Oregon on
November 2, 2004.
WHEREAS, on November 6, 2007, the voters of the state adopted ballot measure 49,
which amended Ballot Measure 37.
WHEREAS, Oregon Revised Statute Chapters 195 and 197 provides a procedure for
processing claims and fees in accordance with ballot measure 49.
WHEREAS, it has been more than five years since the City has received any claims
relating to the ballot measures.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City of Springfield ordains as follows:
Section 1. Sections 2.900 through 2.995 of the Springfield Municipal Code are hereby
repealed.
Section 2. All future measure 49 claimants will be processed in accordance with the
applicable sections of Oregon Revised Statute Chapters 195 and 197.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 18 day of
JULY , 2016, by a vote of 6 for and o against.
APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Springfield this 18 day of JULY
2016.
