DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Willamalane Park and Recreation District (WPRD) plans to construct a multi-use
path from downtown Springfield to Clearwater Park during the summer of 2016. The path is identified in the 2012 WPRD Comprehensive Plan. The path corridor parallels the Springfield Mill Race and crosses several city owned parcels.
This IGA allows for construction and maintenance of the path and will be followed by a formal easement agreement once the final alignment of the path is complete.
Staff recommends that Council authorize the City Manager to enter into the IGA with Willamalane allowing the construction and maintenance of the Mill Race Path.
