Description
ELECTRICAL
Discontinue use of extension cords In lieu of permanent wiring.
Each outlet box shall have a cover faceplate or fixture cano'lY.
Maintain 30 inches clearance in front of electrical oanel.
Maintain wirinQ in 'pood condition and protect from damage.
Discontinue use of non-aporoved multi-plua adaoters.
EXITS
Remove unaoproved locks or latches from exit doors.
Unlock all exit doors during business hours.
Remove obstructions from exits. aisles. corridors. and stairwa'f's.
Repair or maintain exit door and hardware to operate properl'f'.
EXIT LIGHTING
Maintain IiQhtina for exit signs.
Provide liQhting for corridors. stairwavs. and exterior stairwavs.
Exits shall be illuminated at all times the building is occupied.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Provide extinIJuishers of minimum ratinQ.
Mount extinauisher where readil~ available. with top not hiQher than 5 feet.
Post signs indicating location where extinQuishers are not readilv visible.
Service and taq each extlnquisher annuallv and after use.
FIRE PROTECTION AND ALARM SYSTEMS
Maintain access to and operation of standpipes. fire hose. sprinkler valves and fire hydrants.
Inspect and test sprinkler svstem and maintain records.
Insoect and service hood and duct extinruishing svstem over cookin!] eauipment.
Provide and maintain smoke detectors in oroper operating condition.
Insoect and maintain fire alarm system and maintain records.
Secure or monitor sprinkler valves in an open position.
FIRE SEPARATIONS
