These items shall be included as part of the original report and corrective action shall be necessary for obtaining substantial compliance to the Springfield Building Safety Codes. STRUCTURAL AND FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY Walls/Ceilings/Floors Add Item #4: When the damaged wall coverings are removed , from the bedroom walls, the walls shall be insulated to R-ll. A vapor barrier shall be installed on the warm side. This should correct wet walls. Also, as a recommendation only, bird eye vents may be installed above bottom plate line in each wall cavity to assure a circulation of air". --'- Exterior Add Item #5: The foundation vents are required to have wire mesh with 1/4" openings. Add to Item #2: Install one or more small appliance circuits in the kitchen - extension cords are very hazardous. 3. Add to Item #6: Ground electric heaters in kitchen, bathroom, utility room and any other heaters in or near grounded areas. These have been installed on unground- ed wiring and are unsafe because they have no ground. Internal wiring can short out to metal case thereby causing a shock hazard to exist. 4. Add: Item 7. Install separate circuit for the washing machine. 5. Add:' Item 8. Install separate circuit for the clothes dryer '. MECHANICAL 1. The clothes dryer vent is to be exhausted to the exterior and be equipped with a damper. PLUMBING Add Item 2: A shut off valve is not required for the wall mount sink faucet, but a 3/4" full way gate valve shall be installed on discharge side of water meter.
