RE: Job Number COM2003-00483
Location 326 Centennial Blvd.
Dear Dave,
On behalf of the Springfield Baseball Commission and School District # 19, I would like
to request an extension to our c:urient Building Permit for the above referenced Job
Number. .,'
. .
Upon comple.tingJhe roof for the. batting cages, an inspection was ordered last May at
which time Mr. Barnhart denied and condemned the roof and requested that we start all
over with manl!factured trusses and build the cages according to the plans submitted to
the City. ,.
We have since removed the entire roof and have now ordered new trusses to spec and
code. We also had Mr. Ron Rice of Geomax submit a letter t~ Mr. ,Barnhart reflecting
and approving the changes in the overall length and spacing distance between the posts
from the original plans submitted.
Since the trusses will not be completed and in place prior to the expiration date of our
current permit, we are asking for an 180 day extension to complete replacing the entire
roof to meet City Building Codes.
We are a non-profit volunteer organization, and yes, it does take us more time to
complete things due to lack of funds and/or volunteers to work. However we are trying to
have this done prior to the end of this year, so that the Baseball Team can have it
available for practice prior to the Spring Baseball Season.
Thank You in advance for your time and consideration with this request. Please feel free
to contact me at either 741-1981 (work #) or 515-8172 (cell #) if any further information
is required.
