Personnel data, promotions, career highlights, and significant accomplishments. • Andy became a planner for the City of Springfield in 2005, working as a Senior Planner for the last 5 of those 10 years. • Andy came to us from the City of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, bringing with him an interesting perspective due to his Canadian dual citizenship and planning experience. 2. How has the Department changed over the employee’s career? • Andy’s professionalism and politeness have served the Department well over the years. • His Canadian accent still evident, Andy is all aboot the pro-cess! 5. What positive comments do his/her co-workers have to share about the employee? • In addition to his good natured and polite demeanor his colleagues also cite his keen attention to detail and his constant and polite communication with applicants and staff. • He sets an example environmentally by being an all weather bike commuter to work. • He has provided leadership and dedication on the SEIU/OPEU contract as union president. • Andy is also reputedly the best slow pitch softball pitcher in the Wednesday night recreational league. 3. How has the employee grown in their position and their career? • Professionally, Andy has become the go-to staff expert in local and state statutes for Annexation to the City of Springfield, master planning of major projects, and the developer’s choice for large commercial site plan projects. • Andy’s professionalism and polite approach are the Department’s model for project advocacy and customer service. 4. What significant projects or events has the employee been involved in? • If you do any shopping at the newly updated and upscale Gateway Mall area this Christmas season you have Mr. Limbird’s to thank in large part, his attention to detail and customer service guided the Mall team through numerous development phases and modifications in time for a successful, safe and happy holiday season with our largest retail partner in the City of Springfield.
