RESOLUTION NO. 99-32
A RESOLUTION
RATIFYING CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION
OF GENERAL AGREEMENT OF INDEMNITY AND SURETY BONDS
WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has a material and pecuniary
interest in having certain bonds or undertakings executed on behalf
of The City of Springfield, Oregon named or to be named as
Principal in said bonds or undertakings, and has applied or may
apply to the Continental Casualty Company or the National Fire
Insurance Company of Hartford or the American Casualty Company of
Reading, Pennsylvania or the continental Insurance Company or the
Commercial Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey or the Firemen's
Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey or the Firemen's Insurance
Company of Newark, New Jersey for surety bonds, undertakings and
other writings obligatory in the nature of a bond and
WHEREAS, the Continental Casualty Company or the National Fire
Insurance Company of Hartford or the American Casualty Company of
Reading, Pennsylvania or the continental Insurance Company or the
Commercial Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey or the Firemen's
Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey executed or may execute
such bond or bonds upon being furnished with the written indemnity
of the City of Springfield, Oregon;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that Michael A. Kelly, The City
Manager of The City of Springfield is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Springfield any Agreement or Agreements of
Indemnity required by the Continental Casualty Company or the
National Fire Insurance Company of Hartford or the American
Casualty Company of Reading, Pennsylvania or the Continental
Insurance Company or the Commercial Insurance Company of Newark,
New Jersey or the Firemen's Insurance Company of Newark, New Jersey
as a prerequisite to, or in connection with, the execution of any
bonds or undertakings as above described, and the acts of Michael
A. Kelly, city Manager of the City of Springfield, Oregon in

executing such Agreement or Agreements of Indemnity and Surety Bond
are hereby confirmed, ratified, and approved as acts of the City of
Springfield, Oregon.
