ACTION REQUESTED: Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CITY PROJECT P31021; HAYDEN BRIDGE ESTATES
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The work on this project has been completed by the Developer, Bruce Weichart,
and final inspection, paperwork, and approval has been completed by City Staff and the engineer of record, Tony Favreau. The Project is now ready for City Council to
formally accept the work.

DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The project included the following:
• Construction of 1083 Feet of pavement
• Installation of 679 Feet of Storm drain
• Installation of 1900 feet of concrete sidewalk
• First Installation of pervious pavement as a stormwater control measure in
city owned right of way
• Connection of 9th St across the EWEB Path with a new raised crossing greatly improving connectivity for this neighborhood.
The developer completed full width street improvements as part their development
agreement (TYP213-00010) for a 22-lot single family home subdivision on 9th Street.
All work done under this permit project has been completed and inspected by the City Engineer and found to be satisfactory. We do not have a final construction
cost for this project, as it was privately engineered, built and financed. There is no
financial impact to the City other than future maintenance responsibilities.

Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and
has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield:
P31021, Hayden Bridge Estates
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the Public
Improvement Permit and plans submitted by the Engineer of Record and approved by the City
Engineer, and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this Public Improvement
Project be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the
City of Springfield.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the
contractor involved.
2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 9th day of
March, 2015.
