PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Work consists of a single story addition to north side of existing two
story house, addition is 8'x19', expands size of one bedroom. Crawl
space construction, materials match existing house. Existing electrical
extended into addition (2 circuits affected), existing ducted heating
system extended. One hosebibb moved out 8' from current location.
After addition, lot coverage by building (including covered porches) will be
37%, allowable is 45%. Lot area is 6970 sf.
SITE PLAN NOTES
Site is Lot #4, Golden Eagle Subdivision, Springfield. Address is 1131
S 4& Avenue.
No work in ROW. No increase in impervious surfaces. Roof drainage
runs to existing drywell. All utilities are underground.
ENERGY CODE COMPLIANCE
Complies with ORSC Energy Conservation requirements; standard
base R values. Area of addition is less than 200sf (152 sq ft), thus no
extra measures are required.
Existing 90% AFUE gas furnace remains. New duct insulated to R-8.
Thermal insulation at heated area envelope is as follows:
Floor: R-30 high density batt.
Exterior walls: R-21 batt.
Flat ceiling: R-38 blown.
Windows are vinyl framed, double glazed, Low -E coated, max. U
value .35.
Conventional (non -advanced) framing.
SOLAR ACCESS COMPLIANCE
Compliance with the City of Springfield Solar Access requirements as
follows:
Proposed addition does not increase shading of property to north.
