Dear Mr. Groom:
Thank you for your letter regarding the above referenced property. Your
understanding is correct in that the potential purchase of the facility
was not included as one of the items identified in springfield's capital bond
measure 20-51.
Although there was sincere interest in the proposal from the capital bond
advisory committee, the consensus of the committee was that no action should be

taken by the City to acquire any additional str~ctures or square footage until

a comprehenB~ve City space needs analysis is completed.. Th~s project has been
assigned to staff by the City Manager and, at this time, is not scheduled for
completion until after the first of the year. consequently, no action from the
City regarding your facility should be anticipated until the results of the
analysis is available.
