Gentlemen:
I'm writing with regard to the mobile home located on the property east of 222
South "A" Street, Springfield, Oregon. We understand you are the owners of
said property. The mobile home is being used as an office for acar leasing
business. Mobile homes are permitted to be used only for temporary offices
and only in cases when the following City of Springfield and State of Oregon
requirements are met:
1) The Springfield Superintendent of Building must give his approval for its
use based on compatibility and impact of the surrounding neighborhood.
2) Within six months from the date of approval given a mobile home for use as
an office, an application for a building permit for a permanent structure
on the premises must be filed with the Springfield Building Division,
3) The type of mobile home to be used must meet specifications for a business
use occupancy as required by the State of Oregon standards and as adopted
by the City of Springfield.
4) A mobile home set-up permit must be obtained from the Springfield Build-
ing Division and a subsequent inspection requested by the o,;ner to the
Building Division.
None of the above requirements have been satisfied relative to the use of this
mobile home as an office. Please refer to the attached copy of Section 22.07
of the Springfield Comprehensive Zoning Code relative to prohibited occupancies
of mobile homes.
Therefore by 60 days from the date of this letter (January 2, 1980), use of the
mobile home as an office must be discontinued and the mobile home must be re-
moved from the property. Your anticipated cooperation is appreciated,
