SUBJECT: Action Taken On Complaints Regarding
Unauthorized Construction At 1440
South A Street, Springfield, Oregon
Attention: D. Green/J. Wagner:
Enclosed is a copy of a letter sent to Mr. Frank Williams, owner of Eastside
Motorcycles/Eastside Enterprises, located at the above described address.
This letter, dated March 4, 1980 indicates action taken by this office prior
to receipt of your March 21, 1980 report. In addition, each of the three
reported violations listed in your report have been addressed as follows:
1. An immedia~e stop-work order was issued relative to unauthorized work
done on the existing building,
2. The building was inspected by a City Electrical Inspector on March 25,
1980. A correction notice was written relative to the following violations,
a. All splices in wiring system shall be made in approved junction boxes.
b. Stand mounted grinder and battery charger must be grounded.
c. Install approved wiring method relative to air compressor and diesel
pumps (Note: Class I, Division I location).
d. Install filler blanks in panel dead front.
3. On March 4, 1980 a permit was issued for a 760 square foot addition
to the building. Access/egress conditions are being addressed in connection
with the new add it i on (see attached).
