Subject: Occupancy Inspection at 1720 S. A Street Springfield, Oregon,
Proposed Use: Auto Body Shop
Dear Mr. Hardy:
At your request, the Springfield Building Safety Division conducted an
inspection of the building(s) at the above address. The purpose of the
inspection was to determine the suitability of the building(s) for the
proposed use as indicated.
Based on the proposed occupancy, the existing conditions which are
m~ntioned below do not meet the minimum Building Safety Code requirements.
Corrective measures must be taken prior to occupancy to install, repair,
r@place or modify th~ following items in ord@r for the building to conform
to applicable safety codes:
Structural
1. The east wali shall be of one hour fire resistive construction due to the
proximity to the adjacent pr0p~rty lioe.

2. All painting shall be don~ in an approved paint booth.
3. Storage of fla,l1mable liquids shall b.;- in an approved cabinet or insi,je a
flammable liquid storage room.
~. Provide one fire extinguistler ~ith a ffilnl~um rating of 40:B ~ithin 30
