S P R I N G F I E L D C I T Y C O U N C I L Council Goals: Preserve Hometown Feel, Livability, and Environmental Quality ITEM TITLE: COMMUNITY SURVEY ACTION REQUESTED: Review and discuss survey results. ISSUE STATEMENT: Earlier this summer, the City conducted a telephone survey of the community to check perceptions on the importance of established community values and city services. People were asked about what was important to them and how they felt the City was performing in those areas. Similar to our 2010 survey, Safe Neighborhoods ranked most important followed closely by Quality Education and a Healthy Environment. Advanced Marketing Research conducted the survey using 400 telephone interviews with Springfield residents between Aug. 1 and Aug. 14, 2014.
