CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON RESOLUTION NO. 00-5 WHEREAS, the Common Council of the city of Springfield has authorized the removal of grass and weeds that constitute a fire hazard under the Uniform Fire Code Appendix II P. WHEREAS, the properties on which grass and weeds were removed under said Uniform Fire Code may be more specifically described on the attached list. (List of properties, ownerships, and assessments attached hereto and marked "Exhibit A") WHEREAS, property owners have been notified in accordance with Section 5.006 of the Springfield Municipal Code concerning the proposed liens described on the attached list. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on January 18, 2000, giving said property owners an opportunity to object to the proposed assessment liens. WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Common Council of the city of Springfield to place liens on the properties so described under the authority of the Springfield Municipal Code and the Uniform Fire Code (Appendix II-P). NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Finance Director of the city of Springfield be and is hereby directed to add to the lien docket those of the proposed assessment liens which are unpaid by February 15,2000, upon the properties described on the attached list, and benefited by the above described nuisance abatement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director of the city of Springfield be and is hereby directed to enforce the liens in the same manner as liens for street improvements are enforced.
